ERP Technical Training Workshop for ICT Staff

The members of staff of the ICT Directorate, are attended a three (3) day ERP Technical Training Workshop at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) - Baringo in Kabarnet. The training workshop started on Thursday, 9th, and ended on Saturday 11th June 2022.

 

An ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is an integrated system (or software) that manages the different day-to-day operations and processes of an organization. At Moi University, the ERP system was acquired and implemented in 2018 under the leadership of Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey Vice-Chancellor – Moi University) and Dr. Joyce Komen (Ag. Director - ICT). In 2018, when he was newly appointed as the Vice-Chancellor – of Moi University, Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey envisioned having all the University processes automated. Since 2018, with the implementation of the ERP system all the University operations, have since been automated consequently improving service delivery to its clients.

 

To ensure continued and improved service delivery, Dr. Joyce Komen, the Ag. Director ICT, organized for the 3-day workshop aimed at building the capacity of the members of ICT staff to adequately support the university in its operations efficiently and effectively through the ERP. Other areas covered during the technical training included system roles, successive planning, and system integrity.

 

Other than the Members of the ICT Directorate, those present at the workshop included the University Management Board and Members of the ERP Implementation committee.
