The Directorate of ICT was tasked to facilitate on the online (virtual) 40th Graduation ceremony. The directorate of ICT worked together with other sections of the University such the Corporate Affairs & Protocol Office (CAPO) and Finance Office to achieve this.
The 40th Graduation was conducted online (or virtual) during the COVID-19 pandemic period. To curb the spread of the Corona virus (COVID-19), face to face meetings and events had been barred by the Government of Kenya in March 2020.
Under the direction of the Ag. Director ICT, Dr. Joyce Komen the University had it's first virtual Graduation ceremony on the 10th of December 2020. Several teams under directorate of ICT were formed upfront to handle the different issues with regards to the 40th Graduation and ensure a successful virtual graduation.
